WHS-compliant Safe Work Method Statement tools created by someone who has spent more than three decades working in Australian construction — not just writing about it.
SWMS Generator was created by Marc Bookallil, a construction professional with more than three decades of hands-on experience across civil works, major infrastructure, and high-risk activities. After transitioning into construction management in 2008, Marc led complex redevelopment projects in remote environments — including education and healthcare upgrades on King Island, Tasmania — where safety systems had to work in practice, not just on paper.
Marc went on to become General Manager of a mid-sized civil construction business, responsible for implementing ISO-aligned safety systems, managing high-risk work, and embedding practical safety processes across multiple crews and projects. His background includes direct responsibility for SWMS development, review, and acceptance across a wide range of construction activities.
Years of preparing, reviewing, and defending Safe Work Method Statements highlighted a recurring problem: many SWMS were either overly generic, disconnected from site realities, or unnecessarily complex. SWMS Generator was built to solve this — enabling contractors, supervisors, and businesses to produce clear, structured, and defensible SWMS that reflect how work is actually performed on site.
Marc saw firsthand how inefficient and inconsistent SWMS creation could be — from handwritten templates to outdated forms that failed to meet evolving WHS compliance needs. He set out to design a tool that made producing a Safe Work Method Statement as fast and painless as possible.
SWMS Generator is the result — a fully online, mobile-friendly platform that enables users to generate, sign, and store legally compliant SWMS in minutes. Whether you're a solo tradie or managing a multi-site crew, the platform makes it easy to access SWMS templates anytime, anywhere.
